Old Business – NONE

New Business

1) Liquor License – Super Bowl Mongolian Grill & Sushi (1550 E. Riverside): Sheng Wang Lin attended the meeting and explained his desire to obtain a Class D liquor license for the business listed above. The business will feature Mongolian and Japanese sushi, as well as other menu items – including modified self-serve (customer picks ingredients, cook prepares them). Request will allow limited service of beer wine and saki. Between applicant and the other gentlemen involved and attending, this is a third location (Minnesota and Chicago area) for similar businesses. Discussion included suggestions for a stand-alone sign near corner of Riverside/Forest Hills intersection that would identify this business and others in the area not easily seen from traffic lanes; possible funding through TIF was mentioned and the applicant encouraged to communicate with staff when ready to open for such possibilities. Staff raised no concerns, nor did members of the committee.
