Winnebago County State Representative John M. Cabello has announced the availability of resources for residents interested in filing a property tax appeal for 2025. This follows his second annual series of property tax appeals events held in August.
Cabello’s office has compiled several materials to assist with the process, including a presentation on how to file an appeal, township-specific assessor information, the 2025 assessment complaint packet, an example assessment notice, Board of Review rules for 2025, key property tax dates, and exemption information. Cabello was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 90th House District in 2023, succeeding Tom Demmer.
