State Senator Dave Syverson was honored at the Boone County Fair Appreciation Dinner for his long-standing support of the county fair.
Senator Syverson expressed gratitude to those involved in organizing and participating in the event. "Senator Syverson would like to thank the officers, directors and all who participated in making this a successful fair again this year and helping bring the community together."
He has been a supporter of the fair for over three decades, playing a role in securing grants that have contributed to its success. "He will continue to support the Boone County fair because it strengthens community connections and gives residents a well-deserved opportunity to come together and enjoy themselves."
Syverson, a Republican, has represented Illinois' 35th Senate District since 1993 after succeeding Christine J. Johnson.
