Significant transportation investments are planned for Illinois' 35th Senate District in 2026, following the inclusion of several projects in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Multi-Year Road Program.

More than $300 million has been allocated for construction projects in the district through 2031. The planned improvements aim to enhance travel safety, reinforce local infrastructure, and provide long-term support to area communities.

State Senator Dave Syverson commented on the development, stating, "These investments are an important win for families, farmers, and businesses that depend on reliable and safe roads."

A full list of projects included in IDOT’s six-year Highway Improvement Program for the 35th District is available by clicking here.

Syverson has represented the 35th Senate District since his election to the Illinois State Senate in 1993, succeeding Christine J. Johnson.
