City of Carlyle Finance Committee met Oct. 13.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeremy Weh on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 6:45 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Jeremy Weh and Jeff Taylor. John Hodapp was absent. Others present included Jeff Taylor, Mike Jansen, Bruce Hilmes, Jim McClaren, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Ben Useini, Joe Heiligenstein, Brad Myers, Mayor Judy Smith, and Martha Reinkensmeyer. 

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the September 22, 2025, meeting, Jeremy Weh made a motion to approve the minutes. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

Approval of Claims

After reviewing the claims, Jeremy Weh made a motion to approve payment of the claims. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

Approve $5,500 Board Docs Migration to Diligent

After explaining to the committee that Board Docs will be sunsetting, Brad asked the committee to consider migrating to Diligent Community. Jeremy Weh made a motion to recommend to council the migration from Board Docs to Diligent Community. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

Approve $8,000 Concrete Saw Repair & Forward to Council

Brad explained that a quote to repair the concrete saw was received from Dale Lurkins. It is approximately $7,370.00. Brad asked the committee to approve up to $8,000.00, but City Attorney Joe Heiligenstein suggested approving up to $8,200.00 for the repairs. Jeremy Weh made a motion to recommend that council approve up to $8,200.00 to repair the concrete saw. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Executive Session

The committee did not enter executive session.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, Jeremy Weh made a motion to adjourn. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
