Analysis: Cherry Valley pays $4.63 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Cherry Valley Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.2 percent of the $519,428 the Cherry Valley Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.63 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Cherry Valley contributed $426,743 to the fund, which saw a $4,583 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $92,030, or 17.7 percent, in 2016. Another $655 came from other unspecified sources.
