Report: County of Winnebago spent $10,050 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at County of Winnebago School District 320 is up 1 percent from five years ago, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Winnebago County school district spent $9,934 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,050 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1050 to 1027.

County of Winnebago's spending in 2016-17 was 23 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
