SWEDISHAMERICAN HOSPITAL: SwedishAmerican VP of Operations Earns Top Award From American College of Healthcare Executives

SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

Jedediah Cantrell, VP of Operations at SwedishAmerican a Division of UW Health in Rockford Illinois, received the American College of Healthcare Executives Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the chapter’s fall conference in Normal Illinois.

The Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the field and have made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of ACHE’s goals.

Cantrell has served as the Vice President of Operations at SwedishAmerican, a Division of UW Health since February 2013. Prior to this, she served as vice president of ancillary services and corporate compliance officer at Graham Health System in Canton, IL.

Cantrell is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence. She is also a board member of the Belvidere Family YMCA and currently serves as the President of the Zion Development Corporation Board.

Nominees for the ACHE award are evaluated on leadership ability; innovative and creative management; executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community; contributions to the development of others in healthcare profession; leadership in local, state or provincial hospital and health association activities; participation in civic/community activities and projects; participation in ACHE activities; and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
