Report: Prairie Hill spent $9,445 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Prairie Hill Community Consolidated School District 133 is up 6.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Winnebago County school district spent $8,843 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,445 in 2017-18.

The district's enrollment remained unchanged over the same period, with 750 students.

Prairie Hill's spending in 2017-18 was 29.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
