Illinois State House District 67 issued the following announcement on July 26
Today we recognize the 29th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This landmark Civil Rights legislation prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in areas including employment, education, transportation and places open to the public. The Disability Community has been working for years to eliminate barriers in those areas and that work continues today.
As a legislator I am a committed ally to people with disabilities in my district and across the State of Illinois. I will always do my part to advocate for and support their efforts.
