Illinois State House District 67 issued the following announcement on Sept. 14
Joined my colleagues in our region today to promote the importance of donating blood to help our community. In spite of being in the middle of a pandemic, blood transfusions are yet needed for other diseases. Even further, I want to encourage people of color to donate. The more transfusions a patient receives, the harder it is to find a match - and the most compatible match will be someone with a similar ethnic background.
Be a patriot by saving lives through giving blood!
