Mayor McNamara has announced his appointment of Jeff Bailey to serve as 13th Ward Alderman. If approved by City Council, Bailey will fill the vacant seat created by the passing of Alderwoman Linda McNeely.
Bailey recently co-founded Energy for All, where he provides marketing, consultant and business development services for green solutions. He also serves as a technical advisory consultant to 815 MAAG (Minority Academic Achievement Gap) for Rockford Public Schools students. Previously, he worked as the Membership Development Executive for the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and was an entrepreneur for 15 years in Ohio.
“Jeff is a vocal and active citizen, serving on many community boards, including Community Foundation, NICNE, Sustain Rockford, West Gateway Coalition and Community Life Center,” says Mayor Tom McNamara. “With his extensive community involvement, he will be able to jump right into his new role as alderman and represent the 13th ward well.”
The Mayor’s appointment of Bailey will be on the City Council agenda for consideration on Monday, June 26. Aldermen will have 30 days to vote on the appointment.
