Area residents looking to clean out file cabinets and contribute to environmental efforts are invited to bring their documents for safe and confidential shredding at a free Community Shred Event on September 21 at 1865 Andrew Blvd. in Pingree Grove.
Hosted by State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley), State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore), and State Senator Don DeWitte (R-St. Charles), the event is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Organizers have specified that this event is strictly for document shredding, with a limit of three boxes per resident. No electronics will be accepted.
