City of Loves Park Public Works Committee met Jan. 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALLED TO ORDER: 5:15 P.M.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ald. Holmes, Ald. J Jacobson, Ald. Schlensker, Alderman Peterson

ALSO PRESENT: Mayor Jury, Steve Thompson, Ald. Thompson,

Ald. Owens, Ald. Pruitt, Attorney Gino Galluzzo.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: December 2, 2024, 2024

Ald. J Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said motion.

Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

MATTERS PROPOSED, DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AND RECORD OF VOTES TAKEN:

A) Resolution to hire Arc Design Resources, 5291 Zenith Parkway, Loves Park, IL 6111 for engineering services for the Phase 2 for the North Second Street TIF at a cost not to exceed Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00). The scope of work is defined on the attached “Agreement for Services”

Ald. J. Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said motion.

Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

B) Resolution to hire Arc Design Resources, 5291 Zenith Parkway, Loves Park, IL 61111 for professional civil engineering services for the 2025 City Wide Street Construction for cost not to exceed Thirty Two Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($32,350.00). The scope of work is defined on the attached “Agreement for Services”

Ald. J. Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said motion. Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

C) Resolution to hire Fehr Gram Engineering and Environmental, 200 Prairie Street, Rockford, IL. 61107, to provide land acquisition negotiator services to support property acquisition along Illinois 251 as part of the North Second Streetscape improvement project (ITEP grant) at a cost not to exceed $45,400.00, as specified in the attached Agreement for Professional Services.

Ald. J. Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said motion.

Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

Alderman J. Jacobson moved for adjournment at 5:37 p.m.; seconded by Alderman Peterson The motion to adjourn was approved by a vote of 4 ayes – 0 nays.
