City of Loves Park Public Works Committee met Feb. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALLED TO ORDER: 5:15 P.M.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ald. Holmes, Ald. J Jacobson, Ald. Schlensker, Alderman Peterson

ALSO PRESENT: Mayor Jury, Steve Thompson, Ald. Thompson, Ald. Owens, Ald. Pruitt, Attorney Gino Galluzzo.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 21, 2025

 Ald. J Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said  motion.

 Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

MATTERS PROPOSED, DISCUSSED OR DECIDED AND RECORD OF VOTES TAKEN:

A) Resolution authorizing the Water Department Manager to amend the contract price accepted by Resolution 24-034 to Cecchin Plumbing for the Interstate Boulevard Water Main Extension project. The cost shall be increased by $67933.12 due to a change order requiring additional pavement restoration work.

 Ald. J. Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said motion.

 Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

B) Resolution authorizing the Water Department Manager to hire Midwest Well Services, INC. DBS: Municipal Well & Pump to make necessary repairs to the column piping at well 5 for the cost of $36,955.00

Ald. J. Jacobson moved to approve said motion. Ald. Peterson seconded said motion.

 Motion carried 4 ayes – 0 nays

Alderman J. Jacobson moved for adjournment at 5:22 p.m.; seconded by Alderman Peterson
