The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has expanded its online licensing platform, known as CORE (Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment), completing the second phase of its rollout. With this update, 25 additional license types are now available for application through the system, increasing the total to 95. Many of these licenses were previously processed only via paper applications, which often caused delays.
State Senator Dave Syverson commented on the new development: "The updated platform is part of a broader effort to modernize state services and reduce red tape." He encouraged first-time applicants to use the system for a more streamlined experience.
A full list of licenses available through CORE can be found here.
Syverson has represented Illinois' 35th Senate District since 1993 after being elected as a Republican to replace Christine J. Johnson. More information about his tenure can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Syverson.
