Report: Hononegah spent $12,651 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hononegah Community High School District 207 is up 17.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Winnebago County school district spent $10,780 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,651 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2130 to 2010.

Hononegah's spending in 2017-18 was 5.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
