SWEDISHAMERICAN HOSPITAL: SwedishAmerican Raises More Than $50,000 at 35th Annual Ryan Jury Memorial Golf Outing

Golf

SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 7.

SwedishAmerican Foundation raised more than $50,000 at the 35th annual Ryan Jury Memorial Golf Outing on August 5 at Aldeen Golf Club.

More than 150 golfers registered for the event, which has raised more than $1.4 million dollars since its inception. The outing is held each year by the Jury family in memory of their son, Ryan, who died of cancer at the age of 23 months in 1986.

“The Jury family has continued to celebrate and honor Ryan’s legacy by partnering with SwedishAmerican to care for our community’s children through this golf outing,” said SwedishAmerican Foundation Director Laura Wilkinson. “We are grateful for all of our incredibly generous sponsors and donors that have supported this wonderful tradition for 35 years.”

All funds raised from the golf outing benefit the kids of SwedishAmerican, particularly for the many pediatric specialties at Swedes, the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the introduction of a pediatric behavioral health program.

This year’s event was postponed from its original date in June due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and participants were given gift cards to Graystone Grill in place of the usual evening dinner. All participants and sponsors were also able to view a special video presentation from the Jury Family, Brent and Tucker Johnson, and Laura Wilkinson after the event concluded.

Major sponsors for this year’s event included Ringland Johnson Construction, The Rockwell Group, Sterling Commercial Roofing, Inc., Nelson Carlson Mechanical, William Charles Construction, Accel Entertainment and Rock River Disposal.
