Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.
Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Sunil Krishna, MD, to the neonatal medicine and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) staff of Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside, 8201 E. Riverside Blvd., Rockford.
His special interests include neonatal ventilation and prevention of chronic lung disease, intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) and quality improvement.
Dr. Krishna earned his medical degree at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, India. He served his residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed his fellowship at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, NY. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and board eligible in neonatology.
