Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Sept. 9.
Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Raju Shanmugam, MD, to the staff of Mercyhealth Perryville, 3401 N. Perryville Rd., Rockford.
His special interests include adult and geriatric populations, complex medical disease, preventive care, dementia, depression, anxiety, arthritis and asthma.
Dr. Shanmugam earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine 1, Yangon, Myanmar. He then served his residency at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, in Reading, PA. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
