City of Rockford issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.
A $772,000 state grant will help Bush Construction develop a new downtown building, which will house a riverfront restaurant, retail space, underground parking and 85 apartments at 225 N. Wyman Street.
The project is one of 11 "shovel ready" projects that Gov. JB Pritzker announced recently would be getting a share of $11 million in Rebuild Illinois capital funds to support economic development across the state.
