Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Mar. 16.
Patrick McKenna, MD, FACS, FAAP, pediatric urologist at Mercyhealth’s Physician Clinic–Riverside, spoke Saturday, March 13, at the Hypospadias International Society’s Annual Educational Seminar.
Dr. McKenna’s presentation, “Distal hypospadias repair,” featured a technique he developed on urethral advancement for distal hypospadias repair.
More than 2,000 people attended the virtual conference based in Germany. Dr. McKenna, who also serves as the President for The Societies for Pediatric Urology, joined the conference via Zoom. He was the only presenter from the Midwest.
Dr. McKenna earned his medical degree at the George Washington University, Washington, DC, and completed his Urology residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. He also completed a Pediatric Urology fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Dr. McKenna is certified by the American Board of Urology with added certification in Pediatric Urology.
