City of Carlyle Electric Committee Met June 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Jansen at 5:30 p.m. at Carlyle City Hall located at 850 Franklin Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Mike Jansen, Shannon Petrea, and Tammy Peters. Others present included Dave Miller, Mayor Judy Smith, Andy Brackett, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the April 12, 2021, meeting, Shannon Petrea made a motion to approve the minutes. Tammy Peters seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Electric Plan Overhead Door Proposal

Dave stated that an overhead door is need by Engine 1. This will allow the Electric Department to remove the existing engine and slide in a replacement engine, if necessary. The cost of the door is $16,000 but the price will be increasing by 25 percent soon. Tammy Peters made a motion to send the purchase of the overhead door to Council. Shannon Petrea seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Vote on Executive Session Items

The Committee did not enter executive session so there were no executive session items on which to vote.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, Shannon Petrea made a motion to adjourn. Tammy Peters seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
