City of Carlyle Employee Concerns Committee met Sept. 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Shannon Petrea at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Shannon Petrea and Scott Diekemper. Bruce Hilmes was absent. Others present included Mike Meskil, Mayor Judy Smith, Andy Brackett, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the August 25, 2021, meeting, Scott Diekemper made a motion to approve the minutes. Shannon Petrea seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

MW II Interviews

Scott Diekemper made a motion to enter executive session to conduct Maintenance Worker II interviews for Street and Alley. Shannon Petrea seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the Committee entered executive session at 5:31 p.m. The Committee re-entered regular session at 7:43 p.m.

Old Business

Andy stated that he is putting COVID leave on the next Council agenda. He added that he has had employees begin wearing masks when entering other departments and when riding with other employees in city vehicles.

New Business

There was no new business.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, Scott Diekemper made a motion to adjourn. Shannon Petrea seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 7:44 p.m.
