Loves Park 85th highest taxed Illinois municipality in April

Loves Park taxpayers paid the 85th highest amount in sales taxes in April, according to Illinois tax records.

Taxpayers in Loves Park paid $916,722 in April.

Loves Park was ranked 85th the month before.

Of all the taxes Loves Park residents paid for, Municipal Sales Tax was the most contributed to tax.

Illinois is the highest taxed state in the US.

A 2021 study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes are 38.95 percent higher than the national average.
