I. CALL TO ORDER

II. COMMITTEE REPORTS

1. Renewal of Professional Services Contract with Zephyr Government Strategies for the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) per month for 2023 Lobbying Services.

Alderman Frost read in the committee report. Alderman Torina asked for more details regarding this item.

Legal Director, Nick Meyer explained that Michael Cassidy has been the City of Rockford's Lobbyist for more than 10 years and has been instrumental in making sure that the City of Rockford's agenda is a priority and has been very successful in several issues including receiving River Edge funding project.

Alderman Torina asked if Mr. Cassidy could meet with the aldermen. Nick Meyer stated he would look into that possibility.

Group discussed and Alderman Bonne moved to approve the committee report, seconded by Alderman Rose. Motion Prevailed 5-0.

RESULT: APPROVED BY COMMITTEE [UNANIMOUS]

AYES: Frost, Tuneberg, Rose, Prunty, Bonne

III. ADJOURNMENT

Alderman Rose moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Alderman Bonne. MOTION PREVAILED with a unanimous voice vote. The meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
