According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 125 students during the year. This equates to seven percent of the 1,720 students enrolled.
Students were expelled for seven incidents with violence that caused physical injury, 25 incidents with violence without physical injury, four incidents with alcohol and tobacco, four incidents with drugs, four incidents with a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 49. There were 22 incidents of violence without injury. For 50 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Boy students received 98 suspensions, while 27 girls were suspended.
There were 125 elementary or middle school students suspended in 2021-22 school year.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 32. There were four incidents of violence with injury. For 21 incidents, students were suspended for two to three days.
