State Senator Dave Syverson and State Representative Jeff Keicher are organizing a Community Blood Drive in collaboration with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. The event is scheduled for Monday, March 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. It will take place at 115 W. Oak Knoll Drive in Hampshire, specifically inside the Versiti Blood Bus parked there.

Residents who wish to participate in the blood drive are encouraged to book their appointments soon due to limited availability. Appointments can be made through the Versiti Blood Center of Illinois Donor Portal or by calling 800-786-4483. Although appointments are preferred, walk-ins will also be accepted on the day of the event. Participants must bring a photo ID and are advised to have a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating blood.

All donors will have a chance to enter a drawing for a trip to Hawaii, with further details available on versiti.org/savecation. As noted by Versiti Blood Center of Illinois, each donation has the potential to save up to three lives.
