1. Motion to approve minutes from February 10, 2020 finance meeting Motion made by Chairman Quimby, Seconded by Trustee Wethington. Motion passed by voice vote Motion made by Finance Chairman Miller, Seconded by Trustee Wethington to amend item 12 in the 4 line striking the word attorneys and inserting the villages attorneys were asked their opinions on the legal of the ordinance and not the opinions of the policy decision. Motion passed by voice vote.

PUBLIC COMMENT 

Public Comment is encouraged. The Village Board will receive comments from the public, pursuant to State Statutes. Comments will be limited to five minutes on topics relating to the Village of Poplar Grove. Be further advised that matters brought up at this time may be referred to the appropriate committee or individual for further discussion or consideration.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS 

2. Treasurer Report, Carina Boyd no questions for Carina 

3. Public Works Report, Mitch Hilden no questions for Mitch 

4. Engineer Report, McMahon When putting together the FY2021 MFT bid packet for the resurfacing project, came in $50,000 over budget due to sidewalk and curb repairs. bowing trail resurfacing will be moved to alternate bid. Bids will be on March 17th 

5. Wastewater Report, Test no questions for Ion

NEW BUSINESS 

6. Motion to approve check disbursement in the amount of $149,650.25.

Motion made by Finance Chairman Miller, Seconded by Chairman Quimby. Motion passed by voice vote.

7. Discussion on FY 20-21 budget

Motion made by Finance Chairman Miller, Seconded by Chairman Quimby. Motion passed by voice vote. Budget will be available on the website and at village hall. It was be in the paper 10 days before the public hearing on April 15. 

8. Motion to approve Resolution 20-08 

A Resolution of the Village of Poplar Grove to authorize Public Bid Letting for the West Grove Park improvements

Motion made by Finance Chairman Miller, Seconded by Trustee Walsh. Motion passed by voice vote.

9. Motion to approve Resolution 20-09 a resolution to the Village of Poplar Grove, Illinois to authorize an emergency repair of sewer lateral and appurtenances thereto at 105 W. Grove Street and 235. N State Street by Stenstrom Excavating Motion made by Finance Chairman Miller, Seconded by Trustee Wethington. Motion passed by voice vote. Morts Mart and Morts Bar had a emergency sewer repair. The Village repair was around $5,000 and Morts was around $6,000
