1. Award of Bid: 9th Street Reconstruction to Stenstrom Excavation, of Rockford, Illinois in the amount of $1,357,271.50. The project is estimated to be completed by October 28, 2022. The funding source is CDBG (Federal) ($1,000,000) and 1% Infrastructure Sales Tax ($604,386.50).
2. Award of Bid: 605 and 606/608 Whitman Street Demolitions to Northern Illinois Service Co., of Rockford, Illinois in the amount of $48,665.00. The project is estimated to be completed by September 16, 2022. The funding source is CIP General Fund.
3. Award of Bid: Buckbee Drainage Improvements from Yale Drive to Union Pacific Railroad to Fisher Excavating, Inc. of Freeport, Illinois in the amount of $553,215.75. The project is estimated to be completed by October 28, 2022. The funding source is CIP General Fund ($527,408.75) and Four Rivers Sanitation Authority (FRSA) ($25,807.00).
4. Award of Bid: Logistics Parkway Extension to Northern Illinois Service Co. of Rockford, Illinois in the amount of $4,653,318.36. The project is estimated to be completed by July 31, 2023. The funding source is CIP General Fund ($2,235,886.76), Trade Park #1 TIF ($1,400,000.00), Water Replacement Improvement Account (WRIA) ($944,181.60) and Four Rivers Sanitation Authority (FRSA) ($73,250.00).
5. Award of Bid: Downtown Streetscape Improvements for Main Street from Mulberry Street to Jefferson Street to Copenhaver Construction Inc. of Gilberts, Illinois in the amount of $597,694.00. The contract is estimated to be completed by October 31, 2022. The funding source is Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Grant ($120,000.00) and 1% Infrastructure Sales Tax ($592,997.28).
6. Award of Architectural Services Agreement: Coronado Performing Arts Center (CPAC) Exterior Restoration to Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) in the amount of $75,000.00. The project is estimated to be completed in 2023. The funding source is Hotel/Motel Tax Funds.
7. Award of Acceptance for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funding through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) in the amount of $1,272,600.00. This grant does not require a cost match. The grant funds will be used to purchase and demolish two properties along Keith Creek.
8. Approval and acceptance of an Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP2) from All Chicago in the amount of $80,000.00. The grant does not require a cost match. The grant term is from July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
9. Rejection of Proposals/Take new Proposals for Rental Registration Services. The department will modify the specifications to allow for a larger group of qualified vendors.
