Senator Dave Syverson’s staff held traveling office hours in July throughout the 35th District, making stops in Big Rock, Hinckley, Huntley, and Maple Park. The effort aimed to provide direct access to state services for local residents.

“Traveling office hours are one of the best ways we can stay connected with the people we serve,” said Senator Syverson. “By bringing state services directly into local communities, we’re able to listen to residents’ concerns firsthand and help them cut through red tape to get the assistance they need."

During these visits, staff members assisted community members with issues such as property tax relief, pension matters, and obtaining licenses like FOID cards.

“We appreciate everyone who came out to share their concerns or seek assistance. If you are a resident of the 35th District and need help with a state-related issue, please visit our website, stop by one of our district offices, or call us at (815) 987-7555,” said Syverson.

Syverson has represented Illinois’ 35th Senate District since his election in 1993 as a Republican, following Christine J. Johnson in the position.
