For 150 years, the City of Rockford Water Division has supplied clean water to homes, schools, and businesses in the community. To mark this anniversary, the City is inviting residents to a free public event called "Splash Bash."
The celebration is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at 1141 Cedar Street.
The event will include water-themed activities and entertainment suitable for families. Attractions will feature a neighborhood hydrant party, an inflatable water slide, a Kona Ice Truck offering free treats while supplies last, live music with a DJ and dancing, as well as trucks and heavy equipment for children to explore.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend the event to enjoy the festivities and learn about the significance of clean water in daily life.
