City of Carlyle Finance Committee met Sept. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeremy Weh on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 6:54 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Jeremy Weh, John Hodapp, and Jeff Taylor. Others present included Bruce Hilmes, Scott Diekemper, Jim McClaren, Mike Jansen, Tammy Peters, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Joe Heiligenstein, Chief Mark Pingsterhaus, Brad Myers, Mayor Judy Smith, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the August 28, 2023, meeting, John Hodapp made a motion to approve the minutes. Jeremy Weh seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Approval of Claims

After reviewing the claims, Jeremy Weh made a motion to approve the claims. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Sale of 2016 Ford Explorer

Jeremy Weh made a motion to send to Council the sale of the 2016 Ford Explorer. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Discuss Polie Chief’s Chevy Tahoe

This agenda item was not discussed.

Review, Waive Competitive Bidding & Approve Remodeling New City Hall Building – Boatright Built LLC

Brad stated that he advertised for bids for remodeling the new city hall building, but no bids were received. Brad then contacted Les Boatright and he submitted a bid for time and material. His bid is for $78,000.00. John Hodapp made a motion to send the bid from Boatright Built LLC to Council. Jeremy Weh seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Approve Bids from Visu-Sewer for CCTV & Cleaning

Bids were received from Visu Sewer for cleaning the sewer in two locations. The total cost for both bids is $12,600.00. John Hodapp made a motion to send the bids from Visu Sewer for CCTV and cleaning to Council. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, John Hodapp made a motion to adjourn. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
