Committee Passes 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program
Tonight, the Finance and Personnel Committee passed the FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This CIP provides for significant investment in improving the City’s infrastructure and is the largest proposed in City history, utilizing $322 million of secured local and leveraged outside agency funds to improve the infrastructure in Rockford. In addition to being the largest 5-year plan in City history, this plan also proposes the implementation of the largest single year of construction to date in 2024.
