The City completed a $5.5 million roadway reconstruction project of Charles Street from 28th Street to Parkside Drive. The project was funded by the 1% Infrastructure Sales Tax and included replacing the concrete roadway, water and sewer improvements, thinner lanes for traffic calming effects, improved side street approach profiles, upgraded sidewalk and crossings, and a multi-use path for better neighborhood access to East High School.
