Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Boone County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Boone County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rockford Sun.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Boone County were men. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 41. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joseph Martinez. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2016 when he was 45 years old. He is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Boone County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
