David L. Syverson, Illinois State Senator for 35th District | Facebook
State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley) organized several events this week throughout the 35th Senate District to engage with constituents and local leaders.
“These events give us the chance to connect face-to-face, listen to concerns, and work together to find solutions,” said Sen. Syverson. “Whether it’s the state budget or local business challenges, hearing directly from the people we serve is what drives good policy.”
Participants at these gatherings discussed various topics, including the state budget, gerrymandering's effect on Illinois’ legislative maps, and methods to bolster small businesses in the area.
The week's schedule featured traveling office hours in Huntley and Maple Park, co-hosted with State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore). They also attended a Coffee and Conversation event with the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce to hear from local business owners.
