City of Rockford Community Action Agency Executive Committee met Dec. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

I. CALL TO ORDER 

a. Approval of Minutes from October 22, 2024.

II. GENERAL INFORMATION 

1. Approval of Minutes for October 22, 2024

a. Discussion regarding the 2025 schedule for the Executive Committee and the Community Action Board.

1. A poll was conducted to establish the preferred day for meetings to take place for both boards. The day with the most responses was the third Tuesday of the month.

2. Using that as the preference, the tentative schedule for the CAA board would be: 1/21, 3/18, 5/20, 7/15, 9/16, 11/18. It would be six meetings for 2025.

3. The Executive Committee would meet every month. That tentative schedule would be: 1/21, 2/18, 3/18, 4/15, 5/20, 6/17, 7/15, 8/19, 9/16, 10/21, 11/18, 12/18.

4. Both 2025 schedules for each board will be up for approval in the first meeting of 2025 which is taking place 1/21/2025. No action can be made at this time.

b. We are finalizing our change in scope application. We are working with fiscal to complete that. Faniqua has been working on the annual continuation application for Head Start.

c. Health & Human Services Staff and the City of Rockford Mayor had a meeting in November 2024. Some staff have been concerned about potential changes in 2025.
